Car damage reports and valuations
After an accident, an expert is often commissioned to accurately assess the amount of repair costs or claims for damages. Many damages after an accident are not recognizable at first glance, the damage is often not visible. An accident report is usually commissioned by the insurance company, often it is not only about the amount of damage, but also about the question of guilt.
An expert is also commissioned with a damage report for other damages. This can be, for example, a non-culpably caused damage, such as hail damage.
A valuation report determines the exact value of the vehicle. This can be necessary for various reasons:
- After an accident
- Before selling the vehicle
- Before buying a used vehicle
In any case, the vehicle is carefully inspected. Many criteria play a role here. The report is prepared in writing by an independent expert and comprises several pages, pictures are also taken. In the end, the exact value of the vehicle is recorded. You should consider whether a report is worthwhile when buying and selling, as you usually bear the costs alone. However, a report is much more accurate than the Schwacke list, DAT or the assessment via an online portal.
Experts are always bound to a certain procedure, therefore their assessment is accurate and comparable. Depending on the purpose of the report, you can choose between a short report and a full report.
